Prevenção de complicações infecciosas em lesões traumáticas relacionadas ao campo de batalha
Resumo
As lesões traumáticas relacionadas ao campo de batalha encontram-se presentes desde os primórdios dos conflitos de guerra. Entretanto, o avanço tecnológico e, sobretudo a melhora da qualidade dos serviços de saúde prestados no teatro de operações, permitiram que os ferimentos outrora fatais, pudessem ser conduzidos de forma a manter o paciente estável até a evacuação às Unidades de Saúde presentes na retaguarda. Diante da complexidade e extensão dos ferimentos traumáticos relacionados ao campo de batalha, muitas vezes associados à grande perda de tecidos e exposição óssea, as complicações infecciosas acabam por tornar-se uma das complicações de maior prevalência. Este trabalho visa revisar as principais recomendações presentes na literatura, de forma a criar diretrizes que permitam o manejo adequado destas complicações infecciosas, desde o atendimento local, ainda na zona de guerra, até sua evacuação para as unidades terciárias de saúde.
