A realidade virtual aplicada como ferramenta de ensino no adestramento dos batalhões de infantaria em regras de engajamento nas operações de Garantia da Lei e da Ordem

Abstract
The present work aims to analyze the feasibility of using Virtual Reality (VR) as a teaching tool in the training of Infantry Battalions (IBn) of the Brazilian Army, when applying the rules of engagement in Operations for the Guarantee of Law and Order (GLO), encompassing technical, economic and environmental dimensions. Thus, surveys were carried out to understand the experience of specialists in virtual simulation and military training with VR in other countries, as well as a field research, in which soldiers from the 4th Light Infantry Battalion (4th LIBn), headquartered in Osasco-SP, were selected in order to participate in a training exercise with the use of VR, in partnership with 360VIRTU, a technology company located in São Paulo - SP, which develops software aimed at training police officers, security professionals and shooters. This experience will serve as a parameter for observing the development of cognitive and psychomotor skills in military personnel with/without the use of VR. The answer to the problem is presented through the Norms for Elaboration, Management and Monitoring of Brazilian Army
Projects. At the end of the research, the initial results are presented for a proposal for a Feasibility Study of a project on the acquisition of VR technology for Training Centers and/or Teaching Establishments, aiming at training IBn in Operations of GLO.
