Abstract
The present article deals with the perceptions of staff officers from the command of the 2nd Army Division who worked planing and coordinating operations "Aliança" (Alliance) and "Arcanjo" (Archangel) which aimed at providing security during the visits of President Bush and Pope Bento XVI to São Paulo in 2007, repectively. As most of the operations reports do not approach subjective matters, this work aimes at dealing with perceptions, filling a gap in knowledge.The reserch showed that must of perceptions were in the field of knowledge on organizational leadership, contributing to ratify the importance of such theme, mostly in operations with the participation of many others organs.
