INTERVIEWS
Coleção Meira Mattos conducts interviews with scholars and professionals with a wide and recognized career and who are directly involved in activities of interest for debates related to Defense, Security and Military Sciences.
The interviews are selected by the Editorial Team and aim to offer researchers in the field contact with the views of decision makers and specialists, through a fast and open communication format.
Interviews may be conducted by the editor or by guests linked to the topic. CMM does not receive interviews ready for assessment.
CMM is open to suggestions for the names of respondents and topics relevant to the area of Defense, Security and Military Sciences. Suggestions can be sent to: editor.cmm@eceme.eb.mil.br
Proposed Format
All interviews are conducted in writing with the sending of initial and additional questions if the interviewer deems it relevant to delve deeper into the issue. The interviews have the following guideline:
- Size
* from 2,500 to 5,000 words.
- Presentation
* title combined with the editorial team;
* interviewee's short biography focusing on the subject of the interview;
* photo of the interviewee's face;
* interviewer, interview date and DOI number;
* Copyright according to the CC-BY attribution adopted by the publication.
- Context
* Brief history;
* justification;
* introductory questions on the theme/activity.
- Process
* questions that address the development of the theme/activity;
* legal, political or scientific questions;
* official data, institutional data, estimates and statistics.
- General questions
* according to the interviewer's direction.
- Final Remarks
* Question of synthesis of the interviewee's view on the topic (if pertinent)
* references
- Visual resources
* tables, graphs, illustrations and photos can be included as long as they are relevant to the theme and authorization of their directors, in addition to complying with CMM's copyright.
