Abstract

This work approaches the relations betweenthe  Armed  Forces  and  Public  Security.  Itsummarizes   the   main   causes   for   thebankruptcy of Public Security in Brazil and itpresents aspects that affect the performanceof the State policies. It explores legal issuesthat   are   worthy   of   attention,   since   theyinvolve the employment of the Armed Forcesin  Law  and  Order  guarantee  operations.Eventually   it   shows   suggestions   oncooperation that can be offered by the ArmedForces to the Public Security Organisms.
