Abstract

This work aims to analyze the extent to which the implantation of a team specialized in forensic collection of CBRN samples, within the scope of the operational Unit of CBRN Defense, could contribute to Brazilian participation in international chemical weapons inspection missions, assuming that the evidence raised by these teams add great importance to the investigations concerning the use of Chemical Weapons, being able to generate international repercussions in the political, diplomatic and even military field. For this study, bibliographical and documentary researches were used, as well as interviews with specialists, through which it was verified the impossibility of Brazilian military participation in the respective
missions, without, however, excluding the possibility of participation in other activities. Through this work, it was still possible to consolidate a booklet aimed at collecting chemical samples containing techniques, tactics and procedures that could guide the actions of the OM DQBRN of EB when employed in this type of activity, which will facilitate Brazilian participation in the OPCW in possible exchanges specialists, cooperations and even real actions.
