Identificação das necessidades dos pacientes oncológicos e adaptação transcultural do Needs Evaluation Questionnaire
Resumen
A avaliação das necessidades de pacientes oncológicos favorece a comunicação entre pacientes, familiares e profissionais de saúde, permitindo a identificação de necessidades não atendidas. O objetivo do estudo é adaptar para o contexto brasileiro o The Needs Evaluation
Questionnaire (NEQ), instrumento de autorrelato composta por 23 itens dicotômicos que avaliam necessidades por informação sobre diagnóstico e prognóstico, exames e tratamento, necessidades relacionais e de comunicação. Ainda, o estudo busca identificar em um ambulatório de Oncologia e de Hematologia, as necessidades reportadas pelos pacientes. Após tradução transcultural para a língua portuguesa, participaram do estudo 117 pacientes ambulatoriais (M idade = 64.26; DP = 13.46), que responderam a versão traduzida do NEQ e a um questionário sociodemográfico. Análises Fatoriais Exploratórias identificaram uma estrutura de dois fatores para o instrumento [Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin [KMO] = 0.86172; Bartlett’s test of sphericity 1249.2; df= 190; p<0.0001; RMSEA= 0.024; NNFI = 0.994; WRMR= 0.0592]. Necessidades de informação sobre o prognóstico (43.6%; n= 51) e sobre os direitos sociais (44.4%; n= 52) foram as mais prevalentes. Necessidade por mais atenção da equipe de enfermagem foi a menos prevalente (6.8%; n= 8). Os dados gerais refletem possíveis pontos a serem melhorados na comunicação entre os profissionais de saúde e os pacientes.
