Abstract

Despite technological advances, landmine actions still affect the lives of many people and the search for efficient methods to detect these mines becomes a current and relevant issue. There are about 100 million mines in the world, remnants of previous wars in more than 70 countries. This paper presents a review of several existing and current techniques for landmine detection. Advantages and limitations are also analyzed among the techniques discussed.
