A RELAÇÃO ENTRE A MOTIVAÇÃO DO CADETE PARA ESTUDAR E SEU DESEMPENHO ACADÊMICO

Abstract

This article aims to contribute to the production of knowledge and reflections on pedagogical aspects
of the training of the combatant officer of the Brazilian Army. The scope of this study is the analysis
of Cadet's motivation for the study and its influence on performance in follow-up evaluations and in
the perception of teaching and learning processes, more specifically in the Psychology Chair. From
the data obtained from a questionnaire applied to 2nd year cadets, groups with low, moderate and
high motivation for the study stand out, and the comparison with performance in evaluations and
perception of the pedagogical processes was performed. Finally, it was concluded that the levels of
motivation for the study affect both the evaluation performance and the perception of the
effectiveness of the teaching and learning processes.
