EducationAbstract
Rethinking Education is based on the premise that there is a widespread educational crisis, with dramatic transformations in several countries, both within the family (with new standards of conduct) and in schools (due to the emergence of a new illiteracy). In the name of scientific progress, an educational ideology has been imposed that serves neither the needs of young people nor of society. Inger Enkvist proposes some suggestions for reviving education, addressing parents, teachers, and politicians—the very actors who are often cited positively when good educational results are achieved. In short, the book presents, without mincing words, Inger Enkvist's concerns about current education in the Western world.
