A IMPORTÂNCIA DA UTILIZAÇÃO DAS AERONAVES REMOTAMENTE PILOTADAS (ARP) NAS OPERAÇÕES TÍPICAS DE CAVALARIA

Abstract

Today, most Ground Forces are constantly seeking to develop new technologies that can increase
their combat power. In this context, the Brazilian Army has been taking several measures to increase
its war capabilities to discourage any threat that may arise. With the increased use of the Armed
Forces in Law and Order Guarantee missions, whether in the large urban centers or in the frontier,
the demand for new technologies that can contribute to the success of these missions and the
preservation of human life, is growing as public opinion directly affects the course of actions. Faced
with this problem, arises the possibility of using Remotely Piloted Aircraft. This work aims to create
a parallel between current Cavalry missions and the importance of these aircraft in Operations. It is
concluded that due to the characteristics of the Cavalry it is very useful that this weapon is equipped
with this equipment, which would certainly help in fulfilling its basic duties such as: Recognition,
Surveillance and Security.
