This article reports on the development of 'The Legend of Curupira,' a 2D platform digital game designed to blend entertainment with the appreciation of Brazilian folklore and environmental awareness. The study details the creation methodology, including the design of intuitive gameplay mechanics, the pixel art aesthetic, character design—featuring an authentic Curupira and antagonists symbolizing ecological destruction—and a five-act narrative structure. Technical aspects encompass the use of Unity 5 and auxiliary software for asset production. As a result, a playable prototype was produced that materializes the proposal, exploring level design, an evolution system, and win/loss conditions. It is concluded that the project demonstrates the potential of digital games as effective tools for artistic expression and social intervention, promoting cultural identity and critical thinking.
