For this purpose, the work is outlined through bibliographic and documentary investigations, that allow reflection on the knowledge of the subject. The following vulnerabilities and threats are identified: prominent ideas of homogenization of indigenous cultures, possibilities of ethnic conflicts, exacerbation of polarization among ethnic groups, possibilities of territorial fragmentation, and geostrategic interests of great powers hidden by identity enhancement issue. The idea defended is that different cultures can coexist, changing and adapting but without losing their unique identities, which promotes social cohesion, without harming the geostrategic interests of sovereignty.
