Abstract

This paper aims to present the main results of an exploratory research on emergency remote teaching developed with 279 high school students from a public school in Rio de Janeiro, during the Covid-19 pandemic. The students, who used the virtual learning environment, showed limitations in access and difficulty to learn, in addition, they indicated some ways to improve remote teaching. Understanding the various factors that involve this teaching modality will serve as a baseline for teachers and managers to improve teaching, providing better learning for students.
