Abstract
This article aims to initially identify the profile of students from two federal educational institutions - Fundação Osorio and the Instituto Federal Fluminense campus Cabo Frio - in order to get to know the perception that managers have about students and the possible consequences that this represents for the educational field. To this end, two surveys were applied: one, to the management team and another, to students. With the results in hand, we used the school management literature to work on the research data. As we progressed in the analysis, it was possible to perceive points of agreement between managers and students, in addition to observing a certain “technical rationality”, pointed out by previous studies, especially in managers linked to the middle activities
