Abstract
Distance Learning has been the target of much attention at the present social, political, economic and educational context. The aim of this study was to investigate how interaction is built and sustained throughout a distance educational process. Firstly, it focused on the aspect of distance. It developed and analysed different types of distances, as well as their implications for the pedagogical process. Secondly, it discussed the main elements of Distance Education besides its importance for building interactive relations by means of distance approaching strategies.
