Recently, the Brazilian government has been consulted by the United Nations (UN) and has been performing assessments in order to participate in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) with troops. In this context, this paper aims at analyzing the Central African issue, concluding over its influence in the Brazilian geopolitics to Africa. Firstly, the Central African issue was analyzed. Subsequently, the main Brazilian geopolitical actions in Africa were described, according to the National Defense Policy, the National Defense Strategy and the guidelines of foreign policies of the Foreign Affairs Ministry. Finally, the Central African issue and the Brazilian geopolitical actions in Africa were interrelated, to answer the problem proposed and in order to assess the viability of the participation of Brazilian troops in MINUSCA, based on geopolitical matters.
