Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper seeks to explain the anti-communist sentiment that developed between the officiality of the Brazilian Armed Forces in the mid-twentieth century and their interrelations with the project of Brazilian revolution in the early 1960s. Military anticommunism is presented as a consequence the incompatibility between the proposed revolution for the establishment of armed socialism and certain central aspects of ideology and military professional ethics.
