The objective of this study was to identify the stress levels and coping strategies most used by students enrolled in the Commando Actions Course in 2022. This is a cross-sectional study, which used the following scales: Brief-Cope; DASS-21; MOSS; and a sociodemographic data questionnaire. Measures of central tendency and dispersion, simple frequencies and Spearman correlation were used to analyze the information, considering a significance level of 5%. The mean stress levels corresponded to 10.37 (±6.81), considered within normal parameters. The most used coping strategy was Planning (mean: 4.95 ± 1.23) and the correlation between Self-distraction and stress showed a positive correlation (r = 0.405; p < 0.01), among others with significance. The analyses of these military personnel contributed to an assessment of the coping profile and its relationship with stress levels and knowledge of the profile of this population.
