The brazilian army in the vision of congress: role and lawsuits
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper summarizes the contents of the lectures delivered during the Strate-gic Studies Cycle “The Brazilian Army from the point of view of the Congress”, which was promoted by the Army Gene-ral Staff under the coordination of the Army Center for Strategic Studies on 31 October 2008. The theme was addressed by Jarbas Gonçalves Passarinho, former Congressman largely experienced in the Senate, in light of recent History; and by João Ricardo de Sousa, adviser in the Câ-mara dos Deputados and University Professor Doctor, in light of the two Con-gress houses’ works. In the conclusion, aspects which should be considered by the Brazilian Army concerning bringing issues to discussion with the Congress are suggested.
