Compulsory military service: the right alternative

Abstract
The article inicially points out the characteristics and peculiarities of theMilitary Service System adopted by theBrazilian Army, as factors of the decision that made compulsory conscription there commended model for Brazil. It is based onthe historical development of various threats to the Brazilian lands since its colonization, and the laws that are relevant to each period. At the end, it ratifies that the current systemis the one that best suits the specificities of Defence and National Security.
