Land military logistics flow: teaching business logistics for post-cold war military operations

Abstract
Post-Cold War Military Operations havepresented new concepts of AsymmetricalWar that require a greater flexibility of theForces in Logistics Support. The study ofbusiness teachings can improve the flow ofMilitary Logistics. The Logistics Business flow seeks the integration of the supply chainto achieve the minimum effort in terms ofhuman and financial resources, usingcomputerized programs that facilitate thi smeasurement. The Military Logistics has its stock levels more specific than those of Business Logistics what guarantees larger reliability to that flow. However, the Brazilian Army needs to optimize itslogistics management mechanisms, mainlythrough the support of computerizedprograms. This action will ensure animprovement in its support flow. This Military Logistics necessity can beminimized by the adoption of positivebusiness logistics experiences.
